Bianca Segura,

M.A., LMFT

I specialize in helping people overcome emotional neglect by identifying what it is, what it looks like, and compassionately assisting people in processing their experiences of it. In doing so, clients can gain a better understanding of why they may have difficulties with self-esteem, regulating their emotions, or trusting others. I work with adolescents and young adults who have experienced varying degrees of emotional neglect in their relationships with family members, caregivers, romantic partners, peers, and even in their relationship with themselves. Through increasing their awareness, clients can more easily learn how to identify and address their emotional needs, increase their comfort advocating for themselves, and improve the quality of their relationships.

I believe we all deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood so I prioritize creating a non-judgmental, culturally competent, therapeutic environment that allows clients to safely experience these fundamental elements of connection. I enjoy meeting with clients for individual or family therapy, depending on their needs and preferences.
